Finally found some of this today, in my local IGA at $2.85 for a 1.25l bottle. Now I’m not a big Coke drinker, but I’ve enjoyed a “proper” Coke & espresso combo in the past so had high hopes for this. Unfortunately, I was disappointed … I’m finding it hard to describe the flavour without being brutal. Caramel and bitter, if I’m generous. Smell reminds me of an ashtray. I really don’t like it, and shudder to think how much caffeine is in it …

Margaret River’s famous Simmo’s ice cream is now available in all Coles stores and selected IGA stores throughout WA. There’s 3 great flavours – vanilla, crispy white chocolate tease (with milk chocolate malt balls) and burnt caramel swirl (unsurprisingly my favourite). Support a great local brand and add them to your next shop. …

Found these new Honeycomb Maltesers in Coles today for $3 a bag. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The smell of honeycomb when you open the bag didn’t carry through to the flavour, and after a few I wondered why I was bothering. Real balls of Crunchie would be so much better. …

The other two flavours in this range – Southern fried chicken and tacos at midnight – were okay, but these are just odd. Actually, they’re quite unpleasant. I have no idea where the “kebab” flavour comes from. Straight in the bin …

It’s not just about the Tim Tams this weekend, there are new Kit Kats to try as well! There are two combos – raspberry & cheesecake and tiramisu, which is espresso & mascarpone. – The main flavours are as advertised, although a bit fake tasting. I think the cheese ones are the same, and don’t taste of much. Worth trying if you like the sound of them.
